Professor Fengzhou Fang is elected as the President of the International Academy for Production Engineering

The AET Immediate Past President, Prof Fengzhou Fang, is elected as the President of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) 2023-2024 in recognition of his academic achievements in manufacturing science and technology. He developed the theory of the three paradigms of manufacturing advancement, and indicated that atomic and close-to-atomic scale manufacturing is the fundamental technology of the new manufacturing paradigm, i.e., Manufacturing III. CIRP is the world leading organization in production engineering research and is at the forefront of all production engineering areas, including design, optimization, control and management of processes, machines and systems.

Fengzhou Fang is a joint professorship at the University College Dublin (UCD) and the Tianjin University. He is the Founding Presidents of the International Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET) and the International Society for Nanomanufacturing (ISNM).
